A 5-Week Unit on The Ecumenical Councils that Formed the Creed
(Part of our Crossroads 7th-12th Grade Curriculum)

Why should we memorize the Creed if we don't fully understand the importance of it, what the words mean, or where it came from?
This month we will look at the Ecumenical Councils of our Church as the Defenders of our Faith sought out to defeat heretical teachings. We will dive into the meaning of the Holy Trinity and the dual nature of Christ.
By the end of this month-long journey, our teens will hopefully understand and have confidence in the ancient roots of our Orthodox Faith and proudly declare that faith in the Creed.
