What if "the secret" to contentment St. Paul spoke about while sitting in a prison cell in Rome wasn't a secret after all? In fact, the Bible teaches us while happiness is fleeting, contentment is a choice to love God and others.
This month we will explore with our teens the "secret" of contentment and the common "thieves" of contentment, such as comparing what we have to others, needing to be a control-freak, and our own insecurity. This month, we will unveil "the secret" of being content.
"I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want." Philippians 4:12b.
