Part 2 of 2 on How Christ's Teachings Flipped the World'a Rules Upside-Down

Jesus’ ways, His words, His teachings all had a way of flipping the world’s logic upside-down. Turn the other cheek, celebrate mercy over justice, serve others rather than being served, and blessed are the peacemakers. In the weeks leading up to the Resurrection, we will focus on these upside-down logic teachings where Jesus showed us to care more about God’s praise than man’s praise, to find hope in hopeless circumstances, and to choose others’ comfort over our own.
After Pascha, we will take the last couple weeks of April to examine critically some things Jesus said, and some things He did not say. Jesus promised to never leave or forsake us, but that did not mean Christians would be immune from the consequences of this world. He told us to love our enemies and turn the other cheek, but that does not mean we live without boundaries. This Lent / Holy Week journey will be focused on aligning our ways to His ways, our thoughts to His thoughts, which very often are... Flipped!
